Text Message Forwarding Missing After IOS26 update

Ever since updating iphone to IOS26 my text messages are not syncing to my macbook. I can no longer find text message forwarding under the messages setting. I have tried all the recommended fixes like checking to see if both devices are signed in under the same sign on. Toggling text message on and off. Resyncing messages with icloud. The only thing I haven't done was check text message forwarding on my iphone because it's no longer there.

Text Message Forwarding should be found in Settings>Apps>Messages. Scroll down until about half way through that page and it should be found. Mine is found about 4-5 lines below Unknown Senders. Make sure that both devices are signed into the same Apple ID.

My issue is a little different: the option is there, and it is on, but texts are not being forward (only iMessage stuff shows up on iPad). Anyway, for your issue try this. Best of luck!
