I noticed that icon for iCloud in system preferences (settings) panel is missing after update. I have restarted the mac but the icon is not restored.
How to solve this.
Mac mini, macOS 26.1
Click on your Apple Account at the top of the System Settings sidebar. There should be an iCloud setting there, too.

I have the exact same issue.
I hope it will be fixed in 26.2 when it is released.
I did try recovery mode (only macOS reinstall, kept all data etc.) but that did not solve the issue either. It is user profile dependent as my wife does not have the issue on the same Mac.
I have this problem too, and on all 3 of my Macs (1 laptop, 2 desktops).
macos 26.2 did not fix the icon missing problem. I discovered that if you change the sidebar icon size in settings/appearance to large then the icon is ok and then if you set it to medium or small then is also ok. After another open the settings the icon is missing. If you leave sidebar icon size to large then is all ok. As soon as you change it to medium or small the icon is missing.
The thing is as I see, if you change the window size of the settings that you dont see the icloud icon then the icon is always there as you scroll down, but if you leave the windows setting size large that you always see the icloud icon then it is missed.
The solution I found for now is to set the settings window size so it does not show the icloud icon or a few icon above it. Then after a new open of settings if you scroll down the settings you should see the icon is ok and not greyed out.
Is this a managed computer, like one administered by a school or business? If so, your IT administrator is the one to ask.
