My phone fell into a bowl I was washing. I took it out immediately, turned it off, and dried it with a towel. The water was slightly soapy and not completely clean. Is my phone gonna be okay? Is there anything else I should do to prevent damage?

iPhones are water resistant, not waterproof. Only time will tell if it suffers any damage. Make sure the charging port is clear of any debris before plugging anything in. Then cross your fingers. Water is the very worst enemy of any electronic device.
Stand the phone on end and lean it against a wall or other surface with the charging port on the bottom.
Let the phone dry for at least 24 hours.
Hopefully, everything will be OK when you restart the phone.
