  • Click and hold on an app to bring up the "jiggle" and the ones with an "X" can be removed. For any apps part of Mac OS or third party apps that used an installer to put them on your Mac, they cannot be removed from the LaunchPad. For a third party app, you would need to use their uninstaller to remove it from your Mac, then they will also be removed from LaunchPad. You can still organize the apps you don't need by moving them to a different screen in LaunchPad or placing them in a Folder for unused apps. That part is similar to the Home Screens on iPhone/iPad devices.

  • No you do not need LastPass or 1Password. If you have used either of those services make sure you have a copy of those passwords before deleting the app. Anytime a Password is needed for the first time, you will be asked if you want to save that Password in the Passwords app, so the next time you need it, then it will automatically be filled in from the Passwords app after you authenticate with Touch ID.

  1. Why is your post an image?
  2. No, the Launchpad is a reflection of your Applications folder. to remove them from there would require uninstalling the apps where possible. Otherwise, just stick them in a folder on a page beyond your other apps and forget about them.
  3. That's a personal decision. Apple's Password app works fine for me, but your mileage may vary. Try using it and see if it fills your requirements.
