Safari history not saving on 2-year-old iPad

I have an Apple iPad that is 2 years old and it has been working perfectly but i now start to get some ittitating problems. The last is that Safari history is not saving. I have tried rebooting and other tips from the web but no change. Any ideas?

My Safari history won't clear even though I have content restrictions off My history wont clear even though I have content restrictions off- the clear button is red on safari, but if I click it says I need to turn content restrictions off, even though they are. This is so frustrating and all of the advice I can find is “make sure content restrictions are off/ make sure web access is unrestricted” I’ve tried both and neither work. Also, no my phone is not controlled by my college etc…. I literally got it this morning and I’m already having issues which is so disappointing. [Re-Titled by Moderator]
