Bookmarks not expanded in Safari after macOS Tahoe update

Since upgrading to Tahoe, when I open my browser (Safari) it takes me to my homepage as expected, but now all of the sidebar bookmarks are not expanded as they normally have been, but instead they're in a folder which has to be expanded to see them .Is there a way to have them expanded to see all of them at once as the default for when I open Safari?
