Upgrading iPhone unlocked.

From what I can see, if you purchase an iPhone through an Apple Card Monthly Installments plan,

• You must set up service with one of Apple's selected carriers, but
• The new phone comes unlocked

I know you can't get what you want, which is free financing with any carrier you choose. So, I guess I know more than you think I do. If you don't like the rules, don't use your Apple Card to purchase your iPhone. Either choose from one of the approved carriers for free financing or choose a different payment method. It's truly that simple.

Someone has to be paying the interest on the loan. It would either be Apple or the carriers who are aligned with Goldman Saks for the option to get an interest free (to the customer) loan.

Why would this be a bad decision? You want an interest free loan, but you don't think it's fair to come with restrictions? Unless you've lived in a bubble somehow through life, deals like this come with restrictions and there is NOTHING unfair about it.

Feel free to complain to Apple using the link Bob Timmons provided, but your expectation is unrealistic to begin with.

You should always buy from the company that you want. We don't care who you buy from.
