Search bar not finding keywords in Notes on iPhone

Hi, I was using the search bar in notes to find some words and even though it exists, the result comes up nothing. How do I fix this

There are other questions on here relating to this, is like to continue that thread but Apple won’t let me reply stating no one has responded in awhile, even though they all seem to relate to the update 17. You used to be able to type a word and it would return the notes which contained that word.

Highlighting search term in Notes When I do a search in Notes on my iPad, on the note page that my search brings me to, sometimes the search term is highlighted, sometimes not. And sometimes there are 5 icons at the top right of the note page, and sometimes 3 icons. Is there a way to set up Notes so that when I enter a search term, and then click on the suggested Notes page, that the search term I entered is highlighted? And why the difference in the number of icons?

How to select all text in Notes app iOS 26.2 latest version app: NOTES function: “Select All” this is not appearing in the pop up also, if one tries to use the cursor to move across all text; it gets stuck- doesn’t work. Q: how can I select or select entire text ( to copy) ?? plse confirm if this is an oversight in design of the app

Go to Settings > Apps > Notes > Search, turn off the 2 settings there, restart your device and turn those settings back on. Wait a couple minutes for the search index to rebuild.
