Can I use a prepaid eSIM with my Verizon-locked iPhone 16 and keep the same phone number?

I bought an iPhone 16 through Verizon wireless. It is currently locked to the Verizon carrier. Am I able to get an eSIM put on it and used as prepaid and possibly have the same Verizon phone number

If your phone is locked to Verizon, that means that you cannot use it with any other carrier, unless you can first get Verizon to release their lock on your phone.

As to questions about switching from a Verizon plan to Verizon prepaid service, you probably ought to ask Verizon Wireless about that. If you bought the phone with carrier financing, they are probably going to want to get paid for the phone in one way or another.
