iOS 26 seems to have altered my passcode and no longer accepts it. Is this a known issue? Can it be fixed without resetting?

My organization forced me to update to iOS 26. After the update, my phone said my passcode was "expired" and forced me to change it. Regardless, it accepted the same passcode as the "new" one.


I restarted my phone so some changed settings would take effect. Now my phone is not accepting the passcode. I am 100% certain that I did not enter something different as a passcode.


Is there any way of getting back into my phone without resetting?
