iPad Air 5th gen mirrors to two screens on projector

Hello! I am trying to connect my ipadAir 5th gen to a 1080p projector (Marantz vp-15s1) using a usb-c to hdmi connector. My ipad connects to the projector no issue but two screens that mirror the ipad show up. How do i just make it mirror one screen? See picture below for reference.

would appreciate any tips or assistance. Ive tried using stage manager - mirror and extend setting s. It still ended up the same.

Fix it by adjusting settings on the projector:

• Set display to Full / 16:9 / Normal

• Turn OFF side-by-side / split / test modes

• Ensure “Aspect” is not in PC or split mode

One tap in the projector’s menu will fix the double-image.
