Calendar events disappeared, app shows "no access" message

I am no longer able to see my appointments/events on my calendar it just disappeared one day and when I go to add an event it says “This app does not have access to your calendar” even though I’m in the calendar app. It tells me to go to privacy settings but I don’t see anything there that needs fixed. Please help it’s driving me crazy. I also went to iCloud and don’t see anything there to fix.

Thank you.

Start by checking that calendars aren’t simply hidden, ensure Calendars is enabled for each account (Settings → Apple ID/iCloud and Mail → Accounts), verify Screen Time/Privacy restrictions aren’t blocking calendar access, and restart the device. If that fails, sign out/in of the account (or iCloud), or reset privacy settings; on a Mac, rebuild the Calendar cache. If events exist on the web (iCloud/Google), the issue is local — if not, they were removed server-side.
