Siri not searching Google while driving

Siri won’t search google while I’m driving? I tried googling it I don’t have driving focus on, I don’t have car play just Bluetooth connection, and Siri has all permissions needed. Can I install another voice assistant that will search for me while I’m driving? Because that’s kinda the point of Siri lol.

Still looking for a solution, but I found a work around and posting it to help others. If you tell siri to turn off Bluetooth and then ask your questions you can get your answer then you can just have Siri turn Bluetooth back on and start playing your music again. It’s annoying that’s it’s so difficult to just have Siri quickly search but it’s the only work around I’ve found so far. Hoping that Apple will fix this issue soon 🙏

No, that’s not what I’m saying, which is you should not be searching for anything at all while driving, by voice command, CarPlay if you have it, or using your iPhone. Pull over if you need to search for something online. I can’t imagine anything that it is so important to look up that you can’t wait a few minutes, pull off the road, and do it safely.

Perrymoon — I’m only commenting because the squeaky wheel gets the oil and this is a real issue. You can’t even use Siri while you’re in the passenger seat. It completely defeats the purpose of hands-free and makes for a much more dangerous situation when drivers are trying to fumble with their phones instead of just asking the question. The “safe driving instructor” above clearly has no idea what he’s talking about. I hope Apple comes up with a solution for this defect soon.
