Locked iPhone due to spoken content expanded menu bar

My wife’s iPhone13 has “spoken content” enabled. The menu bar is expanded and the iPhone is locked. Unable to unlock the iPhone, power off, etc. while the bar is expanded. How may the iPhone be unlocked while the “spoken content” bar is expanded?
