I am getting a lot of spam addressed to my.name@icloud.com
The primary address of my account is my.company@mac.com, with no mention of my name. I have no alias set up for my.name@icloud.com and can find no way to turn the address off. I do have an an alias for my.name @ mac.com.
Since I have never used this address, and never will, how do I get rid of it?

Apple automatically creates a default iCloud email address (like my.name@icloud.com) that cannot be deleted, even if your Apple ID uses a @mac.com address. You cannot disable this individual address, but you can stop the spam by turning off iCloud Mail entirely or adding a rule that deletes all messages sent to that unwanted address.

I already have a rule the diverts all @iCloud email to junk, but that still leaves me with a morning ritual of deleting the contents of the folder.
I didn't know I could turn off iCloud.com addresses. How do I do that?
