Battery not charging

My Macbook Pro 2020 (intel) has had this issue for awhile now. The battery doesnt charge and it only turns on when plugged in. Ive tried the SMC reset but its still the same. please help

When the charging system is confused (such as when the battery has been run too low) it can sometimes be unable to do a regular charge cycle. In the vast majority of cases, an SMC reset solves that problem.


Your Mac can usually trickle-charge, at a much lower rate, if you simply connect it to power and leave it, at least overnight.


In some cases an SMC reset after overnight charging (while nominally OFF) can sometimes allow your Mac to charge again. It costs nothing to try.
