iPhone 11 call issues after iOS 26 update: Persistent incoming and outgoing call failures

Following the iOS 26 update, the iPhone 11 has experienced persistent calling issues. In contrast, my iPhone 15, which has been running iOS 26 since its release, has functioned flawlessly. However, both of my parents, who own iPhone 11s, have experienced similar problems with their phones. They have noticed that their phones randomly lose the ability to receive incoming calls, and when they attempt to make outgoing calls, the calls do not ring. This issue affects both incoming calls from the Android app and calls made directly from the iPhone. The problem is entirely unproductive.

Both phones are up to date running iOS 26.1 (23B85)

I've done a few things to trouble-shoot:

Force restart iPhone - Apple Support > Issue temporary fixed; issue came back after a few days.

Reset your network settings > Issue not fixed; nothing changed.

If your call fails or you can’t receive calls on your iPhone - Apple Support > Issue not fixed; nothing changed.

Contact your cellular provider.

Not sure who yours is, but T-Mobile had a problem where a carrier update was required and those that made contact were able to get it pushed to their device to immediately solve the problem. If you have a carrier update waiting to be installed, you can check here:

I have also contacted Apple and was advised to visit my nearest Apple Store and schedule an appointment at the Genius Bar. I hope you are able to have your phone fixed soon!

Additional Information:

To conduct a diagnostic test on your iPhone, follow these steps:

1. Open the Apple Support app.

2. Select your iPhone from the device list at the top of the Apple Support app.

3. Navigate to the “Device Performance” section.

4. Select “Cell Service.”

5. Choose “Run Diagnostics.”

This will generate a concise report detailing any detected errors. Good Luck!!!

Hi I’m just wondering if you were able to figure anything else out. I also go through Straight Talk and at first just resetting my phone normally worked. But now it hasn’t come back after doing everything. I did not hard reset it as I ended up contacting apple and they told me it’s an issue they are working on. Just wondering if you were able to figure anything else out.
