Can't reduce photo file size in Photos on Ventura

Reduce the file size of a photo?

I am running Ventura 13.7.88 and Photos 8.0.

The steps given in previous answers to this question do NOT appear in my system

i.e File> Export> Export 1 photo> only leads to Photo Kind: (drop down choice of . . . JPEG , TIFF , or PNG )

I cannot find the 'size choices' previously described in 'answers'

Where am I going wrong?
