Media stops playing when alarm goes off

When I am listening to music or watching a YouTube video and my alarm goes off whatever I was listening to or watching stops. In the past it would never stop it would just keep playing once the alarm or timer was turned off or snoozed

This is due to an iOS change—when an alarm fires on newer iOS versions, media playback is paused so the alarm can take over the audio channel. Turning off Attention Aware features, adjusting alarm/audio settings, or using Sleep Schedule alarms may help.
