Problem with call screening with my iPhone 17 Pro Max

Good morning, I have an iPhone 17 Pro Max and up till yesterday. The call screening feature was working perfectly.

i’m not sure what changed other than my phone did do an update yesterday

but now only calls that have their

caller ID information blocked ie

if a person with caller ID information blocked calls you it will say private or blocked anyhow only those calls are getting screened. All other calls are ringing through.

I want it if you’re not on my contact list your call to me get screened

I have reset my network settings

I have turned off and then back on the call screening. Nothing seems to work.

any ideas or help would be greatly appreciated

Turn on caller identification

iPhone can help identify incoming calls using information from Apple Business Connect, supported carriers, and supported caller ID apps.

Go to the Settings app on your iPhone.

Tap Apps, tap Phone, then tap Call Blocking & Identification.

Enable one or more of the following options:

Business Call Identification: Caller information is determined by Apple Business Connect or your carrier.

Caller ID Apps:Caller ID information is determined by supported caller ID applications.

It's not always the iOS update's fault!  Many things can cause phone problems.  If you tell people you think it's an iOS update, it might make it harder to fix or find a solution for the real issue.

Remember, the right question often leads to the solution!

Was/Is your device Jailbroken? If that's the situation, please be informed that attributing the issues to iOS updates may not be accurate.

iOS updates aim to enhance user experience, boost security, and fix bugs rather than disrupt core features. The majority of the issues after updates might stem from underlying, unmentioned factors. Updates won't typically alter personal data but may refine settings or features. Backup before major updates for safety. Review Apple's update details and backup advice for a smooth process.

Kindly consider checking your settings and addressing any device issues before attributing the issue to external factors. This could be a pure coincidence that the iOS update affected the iPhone functions.

Before initiating a standard iOS update, it's advisable to create a backup. Have you completed this step? If yes, proceed with the restoration from the backup.
