AppleCare+ plan stuck on “Finish AppleCare Plan Setup”

My AppleCare+ is active on my MacBook’s serial number and shows coverage on checkcoverage.apple.com, but I’m stuck on ‘Finish AppleCare Plan Setup’. Every time I add a payment method, it asks me to contact support. My Apple ID is US-based and I paid with a Nomad card. I need manual completion and association of the AppleCare+ plan to my Apple ID

MacBook Air 13″, macOS 15.6

About the Message:

AppleCare is only available in the country region in which it was purchased. This all has to do with licensing between Apple and the Federal Government.

A. If you are just visiting, then let it be, as resetting your location would rid of all of your Apple Account purchases.

On the other hand...

B. If you have moved to a new country, then you need to zero-out your account. By contacting Apple, you can zero-it-all-out, or you can purchase something that is more expensive than what is in your account.
