volume issues iphone se 3rd generation

volume keeps going down when playing music - apple music / internet radio etc. when i open up other apps sometimes completely down so you cant hear it at all.

phone is se 3rd generation it has only been doing this for a few weeks - spoken to apple support numerous times and all they can say is do a force restart, which works for about half an hour then the problem comes back.

any help appreciated thankyou

sounds like it could be a faulty vol down button.

try pressing them alternately up down up down about 100 times to clean the contacts.

See if it does it without a case on, they can be badly fitting over the buttons.
