Unable to manage Hide My Email on Mac after update

I use Hide my e-mail extensively. After updating all my devices to 26.2 I am no longer able to view Hide my e-mail on my Mac. I can manage it on other devices (iPad, iPhone). But when I try to manage it on my Mac I get the following message: Extension process `Apple Account(7821)` exited.

I tried logging out of iCloud, restarting my Mac, and logging back into iCloud. But the problem persists.

I found the following steps in the issue at this link 255192313 and they corrected my issue:

•Shut down and reboot your Mac.

•Go to your web iCloud page, you will probably need to log-in again with your existing email and password. Select “Keep me logged in”. If successful, proceed to…

•Shut down and reboot your Mac.

•When the Apple Notification to accept iCloud Terms and Conditions appears, click the “I Agree” link.

•You will be sent to a pop-up that wants to verify you and requires you to select your Mac as “Trusted” by entering a 6 digit code sent to you into a page with six empty boxes. Do so. Follow further instructions.

I have the same issue (Tahoe 26.2). I currently have 503 HME addresses. Not sure if it's specific to high-count situations. What's your HME count? (Being right near 500 makes me suspicious there's a limit to the pref pane that causes the error?)

I enabled iCloud-on-web and was able to access and manage HME on the web. So we're at least not limited to iOS for HME management.

Same too. Tried all manner of signing out and also clearing Safari caches, history, etc.

I've noticed my iCloud.com HME numbers are less than what's shown on my Mac but the Apple account page HME numbers are synced with my Mac.

I've tried creating new HMEs on my iPhone, iCloud.com and Apple Account. They sync ok but iCloud.com numbers are still lower.

I tried disabling 'access iCloud data on the web' from the settings, hoping that would re-sync, but nope!

I’m not having this issue specifically, but I am noticing, and I’m curious if anyone else has seen this, that if you try to respond from an HME address, Apple mail will come up with an error that it does not have an outgoing server and it will list iCloud as the outgoing server with the prompt to always use that server. Even if you click always use that server, it’s still will come up anytime you attempt to send or otherwise respond with an HME address.
