iPhone network and calling issues after iOS 26.2 update

Hello Apple Support Team,

After updating my iPhone to iOS 26.2, I have been experiencing serious network and calling issues.

Although my phone shows a 4G/5G signal, mobile data does not work properly. In addition, whenever I receive or make a call, the call drops within about one minute, and both calling and mobile data stop working completely. At that point, the phone shows “Emergency” on the screen, and I am unable to make calls or use the internet.

This issue started only after the iOS 26.2 update and is severely affecting normal communication. I would appreciate your guidance or a fix for this problem as soon as possible.

Verizon is having a Nation-Wide Outage:

It's probably no more than a mere coincidence that there is a nation-wide Verizon outage, yet you've installed this update. That would may be affecting this --Cellular and Messaging and SOS-only.

Everything you've described is a Carrier issue, so contact your Carrier who likely needs to roll out a carrier update to your iPhone.

So, did Verizon diagnose your iPhone, and claim that this issue is a power glitch associated to the iOS? If so, then you should report Verizon's claim to Apple:


Report this as a Bug to Apple:

Do your Part: Provide Apple with feedback on this, letting them know about this issue.  Apple may not get back to you directly, but the more feedback they receive on this, the more they will know what is occurring, and what bug fixes to include in updates to come. Apple will know nothing of this, if you don't report it to them.

  1. Go Here: Feedback - iPhone - Apple
  2. Select: "Bug Report" for the "Feedback Type"
  3. Comment: that this all began after installing an update. Include the URL of this thread.
  4. Proceed from there as necessary

Thank you @TheLittles! You were right - my issues with wifi calling being disabled and iPhone to Android texting not working yesterday were a pure coincidence in timing for me in loading iOS26.2 update on the day of afternoon widespread Verizon outage. Verizon outage affected our location and service, but is fixed as of next morning. Not Apple's fault at all or due to the iOS Update. I hope others issues are resolved as easily.
