Apple Music Country shows on demand in podcasts

Apple music country used to allow you to listen to radio shows like Ward Gunther on demand. This was moved to Podcast App and it says it is updated daily. In Australia since about September 2024 there have been no updates to the show podcast.

I'm an apple subsciber is this the same for all subscribers or is this a regional geo issue?

Hi @philrogers,

Based on the specific example you cited, I dont think it’s a regional limitation. The last of the daily episodes available to me in the US correlate with your observation, more or less. (I see one more that was released almost a year, later but it appears to be a one off.)

One more thing. Under the PC info section, there’s a specific date range listed: 2023-2025. If it was actively uploading new eps, it would read 2023-present.

Are you sure that show is still actively being produced for Apple Music? If so, it would seem it’s abandoned it’s cross-platforming ambitions…

Hey Phil -

I can’t imagine why apple would intentionally limit access…especially since they own the platform. The ephemeral nature of old school radio broadcast just seems unnecessarily anachronistic in the post-ipod era.

Maybe try leaving a review? Or reach out to the production team if they provide contact details. Its possible they just don’t realize the episodes are not spawning to its intended podcast home base.

Did you find smthg else to listen to?

Cheers
