26.2 updates cause screen freezes as well as app freezes and battery deterioration

There are no global issues to fix, so Apple isn’t going to fix anything and there isn’t going to be a statement from Apple. There is a problem with YOUR iPHONE, not hundreds of millions of others.

You are assuming a causal realationship between your issues and the fact that you updated. They are not related; if they were you would see thousands of posts from the millions of users.

And yes, there are people with the same symptoms (not necessarily the same causes); with 1.5 billion users it is bound to happen. And only the users with the problem will post about it. If one’s iPhone is working perfectly why bother commenting on it?

So what troubleshooting have you done so far?

• If you have VPN installed, completely remove it.
• Force-restart your iPhone.
• If it happens with specific apps delete and reinstall those apps.
• If the screen is black after calls the proximity detector that intentionally disables the screen when you hold your phone to your ear (so your ear doesn’t push buttons) is blocked by your case or your screen protector.
• What is “faster” when it comes to the battery? If you charge your iPhone overnight every night with Optimized Charging enabled (not charge limiting) you should not need to charge during the day. If your phone meets this criterion it is working as designed.
