The ECG app has been removed from my series 9 watch. Had previously used it about two months ago. The app is NOT available in the App Store. Many other types ( many not free) avail but not same as the one this was there.
Has the app been permanently been removed?

The ECG app is part of what is installed by watchOS. Are you living in a country that has not approved the ECG function on the Watch?
If you take an Watch, that you bought in a country that approved the ECG function, to a country where that function is not approved, if you update the watch there, the ECG app will be removed.
watchOS updates are country specific.

unpair the watch and pair it again as a New Watch. If anything was indeed lost then it will be reinstalled. If not then Dah.veed has the answer.
You will only lose your faces and alarms.
