iOS 26.2 update: iPhone 13 & 17 connectivity issues

iPhone IOS 26.2 update connectivity issues - iPhone 13 and new iPhone 17

Updated to the new 26.2 IOS the other day for my old iPhone 13 and brand new iPhone 17.

Both are having the connectivity issues (they both keep disconnecting from wifi/cellular and rarely come back online) and I have no network access about 70% of the time. One is a work phone and the connectivity issues are getting really annoying (webpages won’t open, emails won’t send, can’t upload anything to socials etc) I may need to buy a cheap android to get by for the moment

From the forums and googling I have tried for both phones

  • Restart both (multiple times)
  • Airplane mode for 30 seconds
  • Turn off cellular and wifi for 30 seconds
  • ”Forget” wifi name and password and re-connect
  • Hard reset the iPhone 13 to factory settings and set up as a new phone

Is there anything else I can try, or do I throw the iPhones in the bin until the new update? (If it even gets resolved) have been an iPhone user for the last 15 years and never has an issue until now :(

Have you tried restarting your router?

Perhaps a long shot:

Do you have a 3rd party VPN installed, even if you are not using it? If so, delete the VPN profile in Settings/General/VPN & Device Management/VPN, then restart your device. Don't just turn it off; delete the profile. Updates sometimes need to have VPN to be removed and reinstalled. If that fixes it, you can try reinstalling VPN, but probably shouldn't.

My 17 Pro randomly started doing this today, only have satellite connectivity, tried rebooting and still same issue. I have a Wi-Fi hotspot with Verizon. (same carrier for My iPhone) and that does not have any issues connecting and it’s right next to the iPhone. I even started driving down the highway and still is showing only satellite connectivity option.

Verizon is experiencing a major outage.
