Where is the com.apple.Final Cut.plist? It has disappeared completely!

An hour ago I discovered that the com.apple.FinalCut.plist is nowhere to be found in either of my Libraries.

Furthermore the com.apple.iMovie.plist is also missing.

This is on both my M2 and M4 minis booted from external drives running Tahoe 26.2 . . . though where they are booted from should be irrelevant.

I have even enabled invisible files to no avail.

Both apps work perfectly on both machines but where are those .plists?

Mac mini, macOS 26.2

For iMovie, it is similar.

~/Library/Containers/iMovie/Data/Library/Preferences/com.apple.iMovieApp.plist

(interesting how the filename includes not just "iMovie" but "iMovieApp")

Ian, I replied to this in another thread.

I did not check the one for iMovie.

The plist file for Final Cut Pro is within a Container folder in:

~/Library/Containers/Final Cut Pro/Data/Library/Preferences
