iPad display dots respond to pressure

Wierd hardware issue with reappearing and disappearing light white dot and a dark one just below. Thought it was a software issue and tried to screen grab it but it didn’t show. Realized it wasn’t so I took a picture instead. It is centered to the bottom of the IPad, 1 inch above the charging port. You will see them here floating above the mountain. Is this the beginning of hardware failure? They also respond to pressure on the back of the device.

As illustrated, you are seeing inconsistencies in the screen backlight diffuser - potentially caused by partial delamination of the diffuser layer. Defects of this type are characterised by bright or darker patches when evenly illuminated. If the inconsistencies are an issue, the only remedy is replacement of the iPad screen assembly.

Be aware that the screen is the single most expensive component of your iPad. Unless you have benefit of an active AppleCare+ plan, an out of warranty repair will be expensive:
