Problems after updating to iPadOS 26.2

Anyone else having issues with the recent iPadOS 26.2 update?

I did the update (9th gen) and the volume on my iPad doesn’t work unless I do a shut down and now I noticed I’m having issues streaming (glitches I have not had before and do not happen on phone or laptop top). I just recently performed a reset of all my settings and I suppose we’ll see if that successful in fixing the volume issue. Stay tuned.

Curious is anyone else is having any issues. I did chat with Apple support and they suggested that it’s because my battery life is less than 100%. (Sorry Apple, but that is a less than satisfying answer.)

An iPad with a Battery Health less than 100% is not a problem, but any device with a Battery Health of less than 80% IS going to be a problem and those will only get worse until the battery is replaced.

Keep us updated on if your issues have been resolved after resetting the settings.

Streaming issues as far as content paused to load are usually attributed to the Wifi network. Start by restarting the router and note that if your WiFi network is using the 2.4Ghz band, then you may get some relief by creating a 5Ghz only network. The 2.4Ghz is no longer adequate with multiple devices connected due to interference and band overlap on the limited channels available. In that case, it is not unusual for a router to "pick" on one device, while the others do not experience any of those problems as it continues to use that same problematic channel for the iPad connection.

I have not seen anything where iPadOS 26.2 has introduced a bug with the volume control or seen reports here on that behavior, but if it continues please follow up.
