Re: "Enhance background noise on iPhone 16 and AirPods (AirPods 4 ANC)"
Apple support have some articles online (links below) that may or may not be helpful:
It is unclear whether you mean: (1) general everyday background noise or (2) Apple's background sounds
(1.) the general everyday background noise which can be diminished, or included / listened to
You can: Switch between listening modes on AirPods 4 (ANC), AirPods Pro, or AirPods Max - Apple Support
Eg: says:
You can switch between listening modes—Transparency, Adaptive, or Noise Cancellation—
while listening to audio on AirPods 4 with Active Noise Cancellation (ANC)
- Adaptive Audio on AirPods 4 (ANC), Combines Active Noise Cancellation and Transparency mode into one additional mode, which automatically adjusts the level of noise control based on the changing noise conditions in your environment.
- Active Noise Cancellation: Blocks out external noise to help you focus.
- Transparency mode: Lets you hear the sounds around you.
- Off: Turns off all listening modes.
or
(2) Whether it is the Apple background sounds like the sound of rain, or waves, that you want to enhance.
