iPhone 13 storage increased and won't decrease

Hey everyone for me iPhone storage is also strange.


It went from 75 GB to 83-85 GB and never lowers down again.


I deleted apps I never used and also shut down my phone and reopened it, nothing works anymore.


My iPhone is 13 and my storage is 128 GB 


please and thank you reply to me I am as clueless as you are guys.


I could really use a help or advices

Clearing System Data:

When it comes to System Data, the amount shown, is always always going to increase. And there is a particular way to clear it: Use my User Tip: How to Clear "Other" in your iPhone's Storage - Use Backup - User Tip



More on Troubleshooting iPhone Storage:

Internal storage cannot be upgraded. It is what it is. So, the maximum internal storage capacity never increases, even if you upgraded your iCloud plan. Learn More here: What's the Difference Between Device Storage and iCloud Storage? Apple Support

To Clarify:

I provided the incorrect User Tip in the end of the first paragraph of my original reply. Note that there is no difference between Other and System Data — it’s retitled in more recent iOS, and iPad OS versions, and macOS versions... All is fixed the same way. So, go by the following:

I did deleted some apps as well as tried everything still it is 83 , I guess it is normal. Just hope it won’t get to the point I need new iPhone.

It’s complicated. When you delete content that storage is “tagged” as available, but until iOS performs what is called “garbage collection” in background the added space won’t actually show in the free storage. It works this way so you don’t have to wait until iOS goes through the garbage collection, which can take time. Specifically for System Data, see the link provided by TheLittles.
