MacBook Pro trackpad haptic feedback not working

I have noticed that the haptic feedback on the trackpad on my MacBook Pro (13", M1, 2020, 8GB running MacOS Tahoe 26.2) is no longer functioning. I can still use the trackpad as normal, however, there is no solid click feel to it. I think it may have happened when I updated to the first Tahoe MacOS, but can't remember exactly.

I have tried the "shut down and start it back up in Safe Mode" that I saw in other earlier suggestions, but I have not seen any advice if this happened in Tahoe.

Open to any suggestions.

Thanks.

SafeBoot mode for sorting anomalies is still applicable in Tahoe..
