Are hearing aides interferring with voice transmissions

Iphone 6pro, is not sending voice to receiving person and they cannot hear me, when I use my hearing aides, but when I change to speaker they can hear me. Why? This is random as sometimes not a problem. Could this be a bluetooth issue as hearing aides are connected to iPhone?

iPhone 16 Pro, iOS 26

In almost every case, the sound from the caller is the ONLY part sent via Bluetooth to your Hearing aids. Your speech still depends on the placement of iPhone microphone relative to your mouth. The iPhone microphone is generally located along the bottom END of the device (not even at the bottom of the screen).

To improve sound quality, cup your hand under the bottom of the device to help direct the sound towards the microphone. This technique can enhance audio clarity during calls or recordings.

Alternatively, talk to the bottom end of the iPhone, where the microphone is located.

Those are not no ordinary hearing Aids, they are MFi hearing Aids that appear to offer bi-directional bluetooth connection:

ReSound

  • ReSound Cala
  • ReSound ENZO
  • ReSound ENZO2
  • ReSound ENZO 3D
  • ReSound ENZO Q
  • ReSound Forte
  • Resound Key
  • ReSound Lancio
  • ReSound LiNX
  • ReSound LiNX Quattro
  • ReSound LiNX TS
  • ReSound LiNX2
  • ReSound LiNX 3D
  • ReSound Nexia*
  • ReSound Omnia*
  • ReSound One*
  • ReSound Preza
  • ReSound Prima
  • ReSound Sola
  • ReSound SOUSA Fine
  • ReSound Up Smart
  • ReSound Vibrant
  • ReSound Vida
  • ReSound Wing*

MFi hearing devices marked with an asterisk (*) in the list above use bidirectional streaming, which allows you to talk hands-free. MFi hearing devices without an asterisk use unidirectional streaming.

I have reasoned Linx Quattro, NOT bi-directional, so mine are using the iPhone microphone, using the method described above, you should hab=ve the resound 3D App active on your iPhone to make adjustments.

I suggest you contact your hearing Provider, to get explicit guidance and coaching on exactly how to use the bi-directional feature.
