I bought the 11 inch magic keyboard for iPad air and the outer covering has started tearing away even though I keep it in a pvc leather case. It’s not even where the seam is so it seems more like a material failure than stress on the seam. This happened within 9 months. Anyone else had this problem?

They claimed it was only cosmetic and that it didn’t interfere with the products function as a keyboard.
They didn’t accept that it should also function as a case, or that being a premium product it should last more than 9 months before the material deteriorating. This was a senior advisor by phone.
