Refurbished Mac mini M4 fan has intermittent clicking noise

fan noise: I recently bought a refurbished Mac mini M4 running Sequoia. It’s been great but it has begun to have a fan sound; slight clicking noise that so far will usually fade away after some minutes but it’s very intermittent.

So now while it’s still under warranty, I’ll have to get this taken care of and I’m wondering if anyone has any experience with this. Will they try to somehow repair the mini? Maybe this was a problem from before that resulted in a ‘refurbishment. I wonder how long a fix this might take. I’m really needing it a lot right now for my work; communication, etc..

As other users like yourself, we have no idea what is wrong or how long it might take to fix.

It could be a quick fix, if it just sucked up a small piece of debris or something into the exhaust fan.

Or..... it could take longer, if it needs a replacement exhaust fan and the AASP has to order one.

Best bet, is to schedule a service appointment with your local Apple Store or AASP and go from there.

To find the nearest Service Location go to > Find Locations and click on Explore Service Locations.
