Siri summarizes messages in AirPods despite settings

I NEVER want to hear iOS summarizing my messages while I am wearing my airpods. I've tried turning off all notifications, but Siri keeps summarizing message notifications in my airpods. This is so incredibly annoying. Make it stop, please. Notifications -> Siri -> Announce Notifications = Off. Notifications -> Siri -> Siri Suggestions -> Allow Notifications = Off.

Notifications -> Messages -> Allow Notifications = Off. Notifications -> Messages -> Critical Alerts = Off.

Notifications -> Apple Intelligence -> Prioritize Notifications = Off

Notifications -> Apple Intelligence -> Summarize Notifications = Off

Please help me before I throw this darn phone off a bridge.

These settings may or may not be as you wish them to be:

✽ Check a Messages Setting: Settings > Apps > Messages > Summarize Messages

✽ Check another Siri setting: Settings > Apple intelligence & Siri (or Siri) > Announce Notifications

✽ If you haven't already:

Try re-starting your iPhone (How to: Restart your iPhone - Apple Support)

(ie: deletes temporary files, re-establishes connections, may update any recent setting changes you made and bring them into effect, and more. A restart often restores order when something isn't working as expected.

✽ If you think your issue is some "bug" in the software, you can let those who work on the software know.
