About the security content of Magic Keyboard Firmware Update 2.0.6 - Apple Support
"Firmware updates are automatically delivered in the background while the Magic Keyboard is actively paired to a device running macOS, iOS, iPadOS, or tvOS."

I don't know. There is no manual update procedure.
However, one of the people commenting on the above article claimed that
" … If it does not show updated, you can force it by selecting “Apple – System Settings – Bluetooth” and then clicking “i” on the right of the keyboard – Forget This Device – Connect. Amazing!"
For a Magic Keyboard that has a rechargeable battery and a Lightning port, the reconnection step might involve temporarily plugging the Magic Keyboard into the Mac using a cable.
I have no idea whether breaking the pairing and re-establishing it "kicks" the Mac and gets it to do the automatic update, so this may or may not work for you.

Is there some problem you have with your mini that you are hoping this would fix? If so, please give specifics and someone may be able to help.

Looks like the main issue that the update fixed was that "An attacker with physical access to the accessory may be able to extract its Bluetooth pairing key and monitor Bluetooth traffic." (It is the only issue that Apple explicitly describes in the Support article.)
Of course, if you let bad guys have physical access to your Mac mini, they might do something other than trying to exploit a Bluetooth security issue. Like stealing your entire Mac mini system, including the keyboard.
