iPhone activation blocked by previous owner's Apple ID

Support Team,

I am writing to request your assistance regarding an issue with my iPhone. The Apple ID associated with the device is currently blocked, and iCloud verification cannot be completed. As a result, I am unable to activate and use the device.

I would like to clarify that I purchased this iPhone from a third party, and it was sold to me as an active and usable device. Unfortunately, it appears that the previous owner’s Apple ID was not fully removed, and I do not have access to that account.

I kindly ask you to review this case and assist me with removing the existing iCloud lock and activating the device. I am willing to provide any required documents or additional information to verify legitimate ownership of the device.

iPhone 13 Pro Max, iOS 26

This is a user-to-user forum. You are not addressing Apple.

From what you say, it sounds like you purchased a used iPhone that is registered with someone else's Apple ID. At a minimum, the phone was not properly prepared for resale – and this may indicate that the phone's true owner did not part with it willingly. I.e., that you are In possession of stolen property, and got scammed.

Without the credentials the phone is asking for, the help of the previous owner, or an original purchase receipt that is acceptable to Apple, Apple will not remove the previous owner's Apple ID from the phone. Return that phone to the seller for a refund – if you safely can. It is useless to you.

Apple will not provide any assistance unless you are the original owner (you are not) and you can provide a copy of the original sales receipt from an authorized Apple dealer (you can't).

Best option....Return the phone for a refund. Unfortunately, the seller has very likely disappeared.

It will remain completely useless to you unless you can contact the seller and they can provide their Apple ID (Account) and Password to you.
