Any reason iOS doesn’t have an orca emoji?

Does anyone know why there isn’t an orca emoji on iOS? We have dolphins 🐬 and whales 🐋, so I’m curious whether the orca is missing because Unicode hasn’t approved it yet, or if it’s simply not on Apple’s emoji list.

Also, what’s the best official channel to request an orca emoji for a future update?

MacOS Tahoe 26.2.1 and i/Pad/OS 26.2.1 include Unicode standard 16.0. Apple's iOS 18.4 or later contains Unicode standard 16.0. Earlier versions of iOS 18 contain Unicode standard 15.1.

The Unicode 17.0 standard does include an Orca emoji. As a fellow user, I do not have internal Apple access to know when Apple will adopt Unicode 17.0.
