Cannot download and install iOS 16.7.13

iPhone X running iOS 16.7.12

Software Update shows iOS 16.7.13 is available to download and install.

Except it won't … Comes up with

Unable to Verify Update

iOS 16.7.13 is temporarily unavailable.

Try again later.

I've never had this problem before and I've tried several times over the last 24 hours - same message. I've also completely switched off my iPhone and restarted - same problem.

Any ideas?

(And how do I turn off the stupid AI that tries to guess a title?)

The update has been paused for iOS 16.7.13, however, it is not a critical update. It replaces an expiring security certificate. It is safe to wait a couple of days until Apple releases it.

We need this update, i think it‘s not only for security, my iPhone X run on IOS 16.7.12 but has many features doesn’t work such camera , the flash , and the slide button bar is not working and makes glitches to switch between apps while not touching it, they made an update to 16.7.12 when they released IOS 26 on September and it’s actually fixed all the issues but after 2 months it came back till now, hope they deliver fixes for this issues.

I have found the HSBC app to be very unstable at starting up for a while on my old iPad Pro. I deleted the app and re installed and it made no difference. Its working fine on my iPhone 12 so think its just because my iPad is old

Even worse my wife phone is stuck on the cannot verify message. Can’t turn phone off. Can’t do anything with it at all! the pop up just doesn’t go away and stops you from doing everything else. Any ideas because I am out of them because basically Apple have bricked her phone if we can’t get this removed!

I’m having the same issue on my personal phone (iPhone 8 Plus). My work phone (iPhone 11) updated to 16.7.13 with no issues yesterday.

An iPhone 11 would have updated to iOS 26.2.1, there is no way it updated to 16.7.13
