I have been trying to update my iPad Pro 2016 model to the new update 16.7.13 . I kept getting the message "unable to verify" . I read a support page that recommended connecting my iPad to my Mac and then iTunes to update the software. Having tried several times I now find my iPad is completely unable to even start up, I just get an icon with a connection line. I am now unable to use the iPad, when it was working perfectly before trying to do this update, totally unacceptable. Advice required.

Available information indicates that the iPadOS 16.7.13 update has been [temporarily] withdrawn by Apple. If already downloaded the existing download will not install. The associated digital signatures, that must be successfully verified immediately prior to installation, have been revoked by Apple.

At this time you would be best advised to save your efforts in attempting to update your iPad. Hopefully the issue will be resolved by Apple within the coming days.

Not able install iPad OS 16.7.13 after downloading. This is the first instance I am facing with my i pad pro 9.7 inch since purchase.
Requesting to fix the issue at the earliest possible which is probably a bug in the software upgrade programme.

After downloading the iPad OS 16.7.13 on my iPad 5th Gen., the update would not verify AND now my Apple Support app will not open. Anyone else have this problem with the Apple Support app, and if so, were you able to resolve that problem, and if so how?

This happened to me, I had to search the internet for a signed copy of 16.7.12 to get mine to work again, when you have the file you have to hold the shift key down when plugging the cable in and point it to the old file. It might be worth waiting until 16.7.13 is fixed as it took ages to re sync all my iCloud backups using my iPhone to help etc

Hi, i also have a problem with iOS update 16.7.13, but my iPad is stuck on Verifying update, with the wheel of death. I can't even shut down the iPad as the touch screen is locked. (Held down the button for 10 secs, the screen behind the wheel of death says Slide to Close...screen not responding) Advice please? Thanks

Perform a forced restart of you iPad:

Force restart iPad (models with Face ID or with Touch ID in the top button)

If your iPad doesn’t have the Home button, do the following:

  1. Press and quickly release the volume button nearest to the top button.
  2. Press and quickly release the volume button farthest from the top button.
  3. Press and hold the top button. Do not release the top button until...
  4. When the Apple logo appears, release the top button.

When performed correctly, the iPad will restart.

I am having the same said issue.

I heard on ABC News radio a couple of days ago that there were users, mainly TELSTRA, whose service providers’ settings weren’t compatible with the new update, which meant that their device couldn’t make calls, including triple zero calls, after installing the update, so I am guessing that they are fixing this before re-releasing the update.

Thanks for the info.

I currently have said problem while updating my ipad from 14.5.1.

16.7.13 is the only option to which I can update. I need the update so I can eventually get to a version that at least 1 app insists on before the app will work.

I would be very greatful if you can point me to where I can get more information or updates on the situation.

Thank you
