I have been trying to update my iPad Pro 2016 model to the new update 16.7.13 . I kept getting the message "unable to verify" . I read a support page that recommended connecting my iPad to my Mac and then iTunes to update the software. Having tried several times I now find my iPad is completely unable to even start up, I just get an icon with a connection line. I am now unable to use the iPad, when it was working perfectly before trying to do this update, totally unacceptable. Advice required.

Perhaps you haven't read the other posts within this thread before adding to it.

Available information indicates that the iPadOS 16.7.13 update has been [temporarily] withdrawn by Apple. If already downloaded the existing download will not install. The associated digital signatures, that must be successfully verified immediately prior to installation, have been revoked by Apple.

At this time you would be best advised to save your efforts in attempting to update your iPad. Hopefully the issue will be resolved by Apple within the coming days.

Thanks for the info.

I currently have said problem while updating my ipad from 14.5.1.

16.7.13 is the only option to which I can update. I need the update so I can eventually get to a version that at least 1 app insists on before the app will work.

I would be very greatful if you can point me to where I can get more information or updates on the situation.

Thank you

Hi Allan Jones, about this issue Telstra reports about their users experiences troubles to connect old devices to their networks.

By the other way MacRumors reports about an expiring security certificate which will affect to services such as iMessage, FaceTime, and Apple Account sign-in,

Original certificate expires would stop working after January 2027.

Which the real of the potential causes of this issue, I agree about Apple should and must publishes to explain and clarify about this issue.
