I can add Text to a movie in iMovie on iPad but it will not adjust. I try to pinch it or drag but only thing happens is the keyboard opens and highlights the text. I want to make it smaller or bigger but no options and really frustrating. Any ideas on how it should be working. The iMovie instructions says it should work but it doesn't.

What you describe would happen if you were using Magic Movie. If that's your situation try creating a normal iMovie project. Then you should be able to pinch and drag the title to change size and position.

Yes Rich, Thank you. I figured that out while trying a regular movie. The biggest issue is not having a sns friendly 9/16 layout or template. So went to Clips but if you don’t set the format before importing it crops the video too small.Apple is losing the video edit battle.
