AirPods Pro 3 will not charge and get very hot when connected to power

My AirPods Pro 3 case is not charging. When I plug it in, the amber light pulses, and the case makes a "ding" sound, indicating a power connection. However, after 10-15 seconds, the "ding" sound repeats, as if reconnecting. This issue persists with both wired and wireless charging. Additionally, the case gets very hot when connected to power. I've already reset the AirPods, and they are on the latest firmware. I'm unsure if I need to take them to the Genius Bar.

Overheating AirPods:

A. Single-Out this Device:

What happens when you connect this into another device hardware and through Bluetooth?

B. Single-Out this User:

For troubleshooting purposes, create a new Administrator user, seeing if you still get this issue. If so, then it is an issue with the current user. If not, then it is an issue with the entire Mac or macOS. Trash this user you've just created, afterwards.

C. Boot in Safe Mode:

While your Mac is booted in Safe Mode, Login Items do not open at login, and certain system files are set aside and others are fixed. Go Here: Start up your Mac in Safe Mode - Apple Support

D. Taking this Information Service:

Report back the results of performing the above. If issue a persistent, then take this in for a Genius Bar Appointment at your local Apple Store. Bring a proof pf purchase with you. There, it would be diagnosed, and you'd be provided with a cost.
