MacBook Pro light fluctuations, dings and crashing. Help!

My Mac Book Pro (2019 I believe), has been making ding tones while screen is brightening and dimming repeatedly. It shuts down repeatedly. It started about a year ago, after it would not eject a USB stick. It started the wheel of death and eventually shut down, then told me it was not ejected properly. I have done various cleanings via

clean my mac, and it goes through times of doing better, and then goes back to crashing, dinging, and constant fluctuations of light on screen from bright to dim. I continue to have problems ejecting the USB stick I need to use often. I think the problem may be linked to that, but am not sure. I'm not a techy, and am a senior who barely understands these things, so if you have advice please be complete in any steps I need to try to take so I can follow it step by step. I appreciate any and all help!

clean my mac has certainly been known to cause a plethora of issue on the macOS— it has a tremendous marketing presence yes— but not recommended

Uninstall all third party apps that are Cleaners/Optimizers/VPN/Anti-Virus

all known to cause issues on the macOS..

unplug all non-essential peripherals when testing

To trouble shoot further you can:

—A SafeBoot Start up your Mac in safe mode - Apple Support will sort many anomalies

Does a quick disk repair before it fully boots up, and certain system caches get cleared and rebuilt, third party system modifications and system accelerations are disabled temporarily.

Login and test. Reboot as normal and test. Caches get rebuilt automatically.

This test will tell you if third party interference; most extensions etc are not loaded in safe boot mode.

—Test issue in another user (or guest user) account Change Users & Groups settings on Mac - Apple Support

This will tell you if it a universal issue or isolated to your user/admin account.

no insights or resolve you can reinstall the macOS on top of your existing macOS

ref: reinstall macOS Recovery (both M1/M2/M3/M4 and Intel) — How to reinstall macOS - Apple Support

Note :

The current stable release of Sonoma including bug fixes, security updates is macOS 14.8.3
