Apple Pay/Tap stopped working

I’ve had my 13 for almost two years now. My location accuracy is in and out but my Apple Pay/Tap stopped working months ago. It’s updated and I don’t owe any money. How can I fix it?

iPhone XR, iOS 17

You need to have Apple perform diagnostics, and pay particular attention to the NFC module on your iPhone. It can be done in person at an Apple Retail Store or at an Apple Authorized Service Provider. You can also contact Apple Support and request remote diagnostics.

You should try without a case when convenient.

Please follow this path,

iPhone > Settings > General > About > SEID > is it displaying all zeros (0000…)? Please do not copy and paste the number in a post.

Are you saying Apple Pay (Tap-To-Pay) stopped working? What happens when you tap on a merchant’s transaction terminal? Is anything displayed on the iPhone screen or terminal screen?

Yes, my tap to pay isn’t working. It will pop up with the double tap but nothing happens when I put it near the reader. I also don’t use thick phone cases.

Sadly it still doesn’t work without the case and no sir it isn’t all zeros.
