How to add text to a video clip in iMovie on Mac?

my imovie on my new all-in-one mac is version 10.4.3 - can i add text to a video clip using 'inspector' which is what the apple support is telling me to do? I can't find it on my screen and I don't know how to learn the program without accurate video or instructional support from the product maker

Hi,

To add text to a video clip, place the clip in the project timeline and select one of the titles and type the text into the title text box.

Here's a link to an Apple online help menu that will describe how to use the various features of iMovie, including how to add titles. It has a good search feature where you can search by descriptive word or by subject matter.
