Logic Pro 12: Cannot hear input monitoring during recording
Hi everyone,
since the latest Logic Pro update (Logic Pro 12), I’m experiencing an issue with input monitoring.
I can no longer hear my input tracks (microphone or guitar) while recording. The inputs are active on my audio interface (Focusrite Scarlett 2i2 4th gen), the signal is clearly visible on the input meter and the track input fader is moving. When I record, the audio is captured correctly and I can play it back without any problem.
However, during recording, I cannot hear the input signal at all. The track output is correctly set to Stereo Out and all routing appears to be correct. Even when I enable Input Monitoring by pressing the “I” button on the track, there is still no sound.
The input signal is visible on the track meter, but it does not reach the Stereo Out during recording. This was working normally before the update.
I’ve been working in Logic for over 12 years, so I’m familiar with monitoring, routing, and the usual troubleshooting steps. This issue started immediately after the update.
Has anyone else experienced this since updating to Logic Pro 12, or is this a known bug or change in monitoring behavior?
Thanks in advance.
